Piqua City Schools Mathematics Curriculum

Piqua City Schools teachers of mathematics have participated in training for the implementation of the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) curriculum.  Teachers will continue to implement the revised curriculum during the upcoming school year.  The revised curriculum documents in Excel format are located below as attachments and can be viewed or downloaded as needed.   Note: Click on the down arrow in the bottom right corner of this page to download the attached document.
Grades K-5
The grades K-5 document contains separate tabs for each grade level curriculum as well as a tab that contains all of K-5 CCSS.  Grades 3, 4, and 5 curriculum tabs display rows that contain 2001 Ohio Academic Content Standards benchmark statements for which Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) questions measure student understanding.  Teachers will include the OAA benchmark statements in their lesson planning so that students understand these areas which may not be addressed in the new CCSS.

Grades 6-12
The grades 6-12 document contains separate tabs for each math course level curriculum as well as a tab that contains all of 6-12 CCSS.  Several tabs display rows that contain 2001 Ohio Academic Content Standards benchmark statements for which Ohio Achievement Assessment (OAA) questions measure student understanding.  Teachers will include the OAA benchmark statements in their lesson planning so that students understand these areas which may not be addressed in the new CCSS.  Course level tabs include columns that display course references for each standard.

Instructional sequence codes are located in most tabs.
